This is our youth program…
Scouting is a youth led adult supervised program.
It simply works as kids get to be who they are and learn to do what they want at its best with loads of fun. Watch the latest program update which will give you a glimpse on what to expect with Scouting.
Joey Scouts
5 – 7 Years old. Life as a Joey Scout is full of discovery and excitement
Tuesdays or Wednesdays 5:45 PM – 6:45 PM
Cub Scouts
8 -10 years old. We love exploring and participating in camps, canoeing, navigation and hiking.
Tuesdays or Wednesdays 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Scouts
11 – 14 years old. We take charge of expeditions, cook our own food and learn to safely plan our own adventures.
Thursdays or Fridays 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Venturer Scouts
15 – 17 years old. We never turn down a good challenge and love to go further in canoeing, abseiling, rock climbing, archery, hiking and lots of personal development activities.
Fridays 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Rover Scouts
18 – 25 years old. Rovers are way independent of their programs and its planning. Largely mentors and assists the group with activities while they have the best time in Scouting with loads of activities to get involved including overseas activities.
Sundays 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Why Scouting?

Is Scouting just for boys?
Scouting welcomes all genders into all sections. Same goes to adult leaders. There is something enjoyable for everyone with Scouting.
Is there Scouting on Weekends?
All Bracken Ridge meetings are during weekday evenings of the school term. Group may organise irregular events including camps during weekends.
I want to get involved in the community..
As an adult there can be many roles that you can contribute to Scouting and the community. Please get in touch with the Group Leader via the contact us form for more information. We need adult help as the Bracken Ridge Scouts are growing.
How safe is Scouting?
Safety is Scouts Australia’s top priority. We have comprehensive procedures and policies to ensure Scouting is safe for all participants. All adults who come into contact with youth members require police checks and are fully trained to deliver Scouting safely.
